About Us
Be The Reason Charities is a Golden, Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2016 by women with a shared passion for serving others. Our mission is to make a difference in the lives of marginalized women and children around the world.
In 2016, a group of local women decided to put their passion for serving others into an organized effort to improve the lives of marginalized women and children around the world. Throughout the years, Be The Reason has been able to help countless families across the globe, and at the same time, helped foster ways for our community to get involved in serving those in need.
"We believe that every woman and child deserves access to basic human needs such as food, water, safe shelter, and education. Our goal is to serve those who need it the most, offering hope and a brighter future."
Our Mission
Be The Reason Charities is dedicated to making a positive impact in the world. Our mission is to empower women and children who have been marginalized and provide them with access to basic human needs such as food, water, shelter, and education.
Jerusalem
In 2016, Be The Reason partnered with The Daughters of Charity International Project Services to help provide necessary improvements to a children's refuge run by Catholic nuns. As a safe haven for refugees, the children were without cribs, blankets, and other basic necessities. The facility itself also needed significant repairs to remain open. Be The Reason felt the call to help the hardworking nuns continue the important work. We successfully raised more than $100,000 with the help of people just like you.
Haiti
Clean water is a human necessity many of us take for granted, yet in Haiti, after a devastating earthquake, clean water only became harder to come by. In 2018, we chose to partner with Water with Blessings to come up with a bold plan to save thirsty children by equipping their mothers with sustainable water filters. We raised $86,684, which helped more than 23,000 people. The 1,400 water filters will provide clean water for many years to come.

Ralston House helps child victims heal from abuse. Ralston House Child Advocacy Center works with law enforcement, human services, district attorney’s offices in Jefferson, Adams, Gilpin, and Broomfield counties, and the community to provide a safe place to investigate child abuse and ensure victim services for children who have been physically or sexually abused or witnessed violence.
Unfortunately, 1 in 6 girls is sexually abused by the age of 18. Ralston House provides a free and safe place for these survivors to tell their stories and get the necessary care to move forward.
